You may or may not know, but Yahoo discontinued support for groups in Oct/Dec 1999. Thanks to Gerry Cross who obtained a dump program to grab this archive. He and I created CSV files that made it loadable into a Wix database. Head on over to “The Tech Corner”, last item on the left. You can browse the message posts or search by subject. Let us know what you think. JD Smith

Someone uploaded some pictures and I have NO way of identifying where they go? I have updated the Upload utility to now require either the dash# (if going to the Registry) or the photo category if they should be added to the Gallery. here is the link to a couple of the photos: https://res.cloudinary.com/cvoa/image/upload/v1582486534/--StagingArea/Coz-engine_b5dtd0.jpg https://res.cloudinary.com/cvoa/image/upload/v1580702090/--StagingArea/20191009_185317_ov2gjv.jpg

We have resurrected the "Cosworths in Print" webpage from the old website using the "wayback machine". Gerry Cross found it and converted the data to a spreadsheet. I stored in a database and created a new dynamic page. See it at "The Car" main page. Most new articles nowadays are posted online, so I have redubbed the page "Cosworths In The Media". If you come across something to add please send it to me via the Contact Us form.

After a week of fighting with the widget code provided by our photo server, Cloudinary, I finally have it working so that you NO LONGER HAVE TO RENAME YOUR PHOTOS!!. An input box prompts you for the dash# to TAG the photos with. That info is then passed to the upload widget. Then when I receive email that new CV photos have been uploaded I can see in the Tags, the dash# of the car as well as the email address of who uploaded them! Enjoy! JD

As most folks now use their phones as cameras, I have added the ability for you to upload your CV photos from your smart phone. Remember, you need to rename your photos as dash#-seq#... for example... 3241-10, 2341-02... Otherwise I will have no idea what car the photos belong to (unless you take a photo of the dash plaque). I just tested and it worked just fine on my iphone 6.

If the radio had been replaced with an after market one, there was no option to select that on the registration form. Leaving nothing selected caused the display of "More Info" in the Registry Search to display the word "null" under options. I have added a choice "After Market" to the form. Therefore , if your car has a non-stock radio you should edit your registration (My Dashboard) and re-select Radio type.

You asked for it so here it is! You can now not only search for Dash# or Color, but now you can search for any factory option. Some of them like, Rear Speaker, and Positraction can take a bit longer, be patient, it will give you a count at the end of the search listing. Enjoy, JD

The Locate A Member search located in The CVOA menu has been revised to more accurately display the results of the string entered. I have also added a field to the results to display the dash# of the car owned. Right now, it is only showing 1 car, so if you own more than one, it will show the last one you registered. What is interesting is that if you search by State (using the standard 2 letter abbreviation) you can find out how many Cosworths are in your area. Enjoy

A few things have been changed/fixed as follows: 1. Fixed a long standing bug when searching for Colored Cosworths in the Registry where after the first dozen were displayed, going to next page would show next dash# regardless of color. 2. The Locate A Member search has been improved to allow searching by Last Name, 2-letter State, or email address. The results are sorted by last name, member status, and expiration date 3. The top level menu was changed from "The Cosworth Vega" to simply "The Car" due to the menu being truncated when viewed on the mobile version. Also The Car was moved to be the FIRST menu item instead of the second. Question? Should we change menu item "The CVOA" to be "The Club"? JD

Hello All, I have now integrated the "My Dashboard" into the "WIX member bar" dropdown list in the header of the website. It works same as before... you can edit your personal info, check the status of your membership, and register/update you Cosworth Vega Registration. I also customized the colors of buttons and sliders to be consistent with our page scheme. Regards, JD

The page "The Cosworth Vega" ( 3rd item in the top menu bar ) features a member's cosworth linked to their photo gallery. I have been selecting a car each month. In the past we have had my car(of course), John J Cowall's, Clark Kirby's, Cathie Dempsey's, Bob Mark's, the Blue Cosworth sold at Mecuum, and this month, Jim Pitellko's. There is a link on that page where you can request your car be featured. I was wondering why, after all this time, I had never received a submission. I tested it an dang! the input form was BROKEN. I have now fixed it. So, come on, don't make me have to keep choosing a car each month. Regards, JD

Note, when you use the "Upload CV Photos" feature in the website you MUST rename them appropriately so that I know WHERE in the photo gallery to place them. See the following screen shot of the CVOA Staging Area (where photos are uploaded). Note, the 2nd row tells me that these photos are for car 2030 (although they are duplicates)...., while the 1st row does not. Consequently, these will not be posted as I have no idea what dash# this car is!
