Hello fellow CV enthusiasts, I'm glad to be a part of this group. I recently purchased #2842 from a gentleman in Saskatchewan, Canada. This car was the last CV to be listed for sale on the auction site Bring A Trailer. Purchasing a vehicle site unseen is a bit of a gamble, but I am overall happy with my purchase. This is the third CV I've owned over the years. I purchased my first CV back in the early 80's when I was 18 years old. Unfortunately, I don't remember what car # it was. The only option on that car was the pop-out rear windows. It had a couple of the usual Vega and CV issues. Rust had started around the windshield and it would start with a cloud of blue smoke. I didn't mind that it burned a little oil, I was a teenager and at the time I thought it was a very cool car. My next car, and second CV was #1348. I purchased it from the original owner in who lived in Crystal Lake, IL. The car had been in storage for most of it's life and had extremely low miles. The car was in showroom condition. I unwillingly sold that car when I moved to Arizona. A black car with black vinyl interior wasn't going to work in the Arizona heat. I have looked on and off for the last several years for another CV. When I found this one on Bring A Trailer, I had to bid on it. At the end of the auction I was the high bidder, but I figured the car wouldn't meet the reserve. I waited for the listing to close and was surprised when it indicated...SOLD. Here's the car the day it arrived from the Great White North. And here it is at my shop waiting for spring to arrive!
