We are talking about the same "slot". Picture makes sense now, slot is clearly visible.

Picture is hard to orient, are these hooks using the "slots" that were used when Vegas where shipped in the special railroad cars? I use these slots with just the strap hook in the slots and then cross over to the opposite side trailer tie down. I tie down all 4 corners.
