William Marras purchased the car on 10/9/21 from Dennis Moyer in Myrtle beach South Carolina. The mileage was 13,486. The title was transferred on 10/22/21 in Akron Ohio.
Note from William: I’ve got experience with judging and restoration. I’d say that 2703 is a solid number 2 for an unrestored car. I plan on keeping it as stock and unrestored as possible.

As of Jim Stallwitz’ September 1990 regional newsletter, this car was then owned by Steve Pasek of Oak
Forest, IL. It had less than 10k on it, and won its class at the 1989 Chicagoland Car Club Show.

Offered for sale on eBay in August of 2004: You are bidding on Cosworth Vega #2704. This car is a bit of a project
but it does run and drive. It also has a clean clear title and only 62,600 miles on it. This car has numerous options,
first and foremost, the Cosworth twin cam engine, it's also has a 4 speed trans, 4.10 posi rear axle, rear defroster, aux
lighting package, pop out windows, and the am/fm radio with single rear speaker. The car comes with 6 total
Cosworth rims. The trans was recently replaced with another Cosworth Vega 4 speed and only has 33,000 miles on
it. It runs and runs well but is lacking power, and needs the clutch adjusted as the pedal is a little high. All the brakes
are new as are the front sway links, fuel system, and tune-up items, u-joints and carpeting. Why am I selling it? I
have a total of 4 Cosworths in my collection and I don't have the time to give each one the attention they deserve.
And no, the blue car is not for sale. So what does it need?? It needs bodywork. It has rot in the floors (some of which
was patched), spare tire well, and battery tray (which is missing). It has rot on the lower parts of the doors, but I
have one good door that goes with the car. The front fenders were replaced with non-rotted units, as was the rear
hatch and front panel between the headlamps. The "well" where the wiper arms live is Rust FREE and clean. I
figured the lack of power is due to stale gas and possibly an out of time ignition. It starts, revs high, pulses like a true
Cosworth should, then settles to a nice 1200 rpm idle; but when driving it just feels sluggish. The interior is
complete but needs the front driver's seat replaced as it is white not tan. The carpeting was replaced 3 years ago and
still looks great. All lights and horn work. The cooling system was updated with fresh antifreeze, radiator cap, and
thermostat. The entire exhaust system is stock and the cat converter was replaced last year. The alternator was
replaced 2 years ago. Please email me for more photos, the car can also be seen in person upon appointment.
Looking for a fun, rare project to restore and enjoy, look no further. Looking for a shell for a v-8 conversion? Look
elsewhere. Money orders, cashier’s checks or cash only please. Car must be picked up no later than 2 weeks after
close of auction.

1976 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega, #2710, VIN 1V77O6U185849, offered in August of 2013. Excellent
Condition, 64k miles, Collectible. 2 owner ‐ same since 1985. Car and Driver chose the Cosworth Vega as
one of the "10 Best Collectible Cars" in its fourth annual Ten Best issue, saying: "We're talking about
historical significance here." The mid seventies were a tough time for American auto manufacturers.
Tough new emission laws, high gas prices, and tough competition from Europe and the Orient were
taking their toll. Enter Chevy's answer, championed by none other than Mr. DeLorean, creator of the
GTO, Firebird and the infamous DMC‐12 that bore his name. Despite resistance from within GM,
DeLorean prevailed and the Cosworth Vega went on sale for the 1975 and 1976 model years. Only 3508
Cosworth Vegas were ever built, and even when new, the press was calling it a collectible. To this day
the car is still sharp looking and elicits approving looks and questions wherever it is driven. This example
was obtained from one of our friends who had prepared and used the car in autocross duty. Some nice
componentry was added, including Weber's, big sway bars, stiffer springs, relocated battery and more.
The prior owner was an older gentleman, the car was not abused, and presents very, very well. Paint is
shiny and smooth, interior is in great shape and the original wheels are near perfect. The motor runs
strong, barely leaves a drip and does not smoke. The transmission shifts great, and the brakes are
strong. I removed the air filters for the photo's, they are included in the sale. We believe this is a two
owner car, with the same owner since 1985. It was sold new in Oregon City, Oregon at Weiler
Chevrolet. This is a fantastic piece of rare automotive history and will make either a nice addition to a
collection or a fun driver. Remember that if you bid and win you will be expected to complete the
transaction. We are happy to answer any questions you may have, email or call, 503‐475‐8078 Josh,
or 503‐819‐9007 Matt. Located in Portland, OR.
