2026 Roundup 47 - Des Moines, IA
"50th Anniversary of the
1976 Cosworth Vega"
September 17th-20th

Hello Cosworth Vega and H-Body Car Enthusiasts!
The State of Iowa has only had one roundup in the last 46 years of the CVOA's existence. That one, was the 10th Anniversary of the CVOA in 1989. Well... that will change come 2026!!
We are hosting the Roundup #47, 50th anniversary of 1976 Cosworth Vega. Dave Bloch is the Host and Jay Hovick is the co-host for this celebration. It just makes sense, because of the number of Cosworths AND other H-Body cars that are currently located in the immediate area of Iowa. Just between Dave and I, we own and are car caretakers for (10) H-Bodies (yes, we both got bit by that Cosworth/H-Body classic car passion/bug).
Once we knew Roundup #47 would be in Des Moines, Iowa; we started our planning in August of 2024. Many thought we were CRAZY for starting so early. My advice to future Hosts is, start as very early as you can!! Even though only 8 months have passed by, it has absolutely flown by AND it is challenging to get everything done while we are still both working full time jobs.
Many have probably already seen the Facebook Page that we created last year. We update it regularly with news of our plans. 2026 CVOA Roundup Des Moines Iowa https://www.facebook.com/groups/489754894036728
We have a very nice venue verbally secured for the weekend (we will have all of that locked iin in May). Hotel reservations will be available when we are 12 months out (Sept of 2025). We have the Roundup #47 schedule prepared and have all our destinations/outings verbally confirmed. Our goal is to have all these special events completely "locked in" at the 12 months out mark and that is when we will start taking registrations. More details will be provided when we start asking for registrations.
Dave and Jay have already released a "Limited Edition" 1976 50th Anniversary Lapel Pin Set and has been offered for sale in April 2025. (many CVOA members/H-Body folks have already seen them on Facebook and have purchased a set). All the profits we realize from the sales will go into our Roundup #47 event fund. We are both also actively designing and working on some T-Shirts procurement that will be available before our Roundup #47. Any profits from sale of these items will also go to the Roundup #47 event fund. Dave and I are very frugal and try find the best prices available for offering these products.
One last thing we want to mention is that we are working on getting something kind of cool for the first 20 registrants. This special item will be only provided to the early registrants attending 50th Anniversary Roundup #47 .
Let me close with this, Dave and Jay are honored to host the 50th Anniversary of the 1976 Cosworth Vega "HERE IN OUR IOWA". Please don't be afraid to reach out to either one of us, we are "open books" kind of guys AND love chatting about everything Cosworth Vega and H-Body.
We're looking forward to a great event which will offer a memorable time together, camaraderie, sharing stories, to CELEBRATE our shared love for Classic Cosworth Vegas/H-Body automobiles.
Best personal regards,
Jay and Dave
