It had the cosworth horn button and dash plate but I thought it had been put on from another car.it had a regular vega tack .the car is pretty rough i bought it with a 72 vega hatchback the guy didn't want to separate the two. I have 3 other cosworth vega's two 75 and one 76 .I will check the dash numbers and get back to you later.

In June of 2003 the parts from the engine were offered for sale piecemeal on eBay.

“This car went to a friend that was supposed to restore it. He also took the head and cam carrier. He
was supposed to come back and get the lower end (short block. Ed.). I found out later that he sold the
car to a buddy to put a V8 in. If I had only known I would have sold it or parted it on eBay.” The short
block was offered for sale on eBay in March of 2003. The ad said, “You are looking at a 76 (#3491)
Cosworth Vega short block. I pulled the engine before letting the car go. All I have left is the lower end.
What you see in the picture is what you get. Block, Starter, motor mounts, pistons, rods, crank in
excellent shape, oil pump, dipstick, water pump, and pan. If you want I will even throw in the dolly it’s
in. Cylinders are in good shape. It appears that # 4 is sleeved. Not sure why it's that way, it was like
that when I got the car. Shipping will be the buyer’s responsibility. I will crate the block to protect the
starter ring on the back of the block. Other parts will be boxed in a separate box. I accept PayPal or
money orders. Thanks for looking. Email me with any questions.” In response to a request by your
Editor, the owner wrote back, “OK, on the partial VIN, I cannot make out the first 3 characters, but the
last 6 are 245618. The number ending in ZCB is T0429ZCB, and the last number on the back of the block
looks like 3368, the first 3 is on an angle so I'm not exactly sure it’s a 3. Hope this helps. The reserve is

This is one of Dave Dempsey’s Cosworths as of December, 2006. It is a firethorn car with a red interior.

76‐3494 was sold to a person in Payson, AZ who may have now registered with the club in his name.

John is now selling it in June of 2010. 33,500 miles, 5‐speed with posi, tinted glass, swing‐out windows,
AM/FM radio, medium orange with black vinyl interior. Body and paint are excellent. Seat and carpet
are excellent except for a tear in the driver’s seat. Car has been in garage storage with a car cover for
the past 10 years. Engine has good compression and turns over freely. Large inventory of new parts go
with the car.

BAD INFO, NOT FOR CV #3496 The 76' Cosworth vega that is for sale is unlike most, it currently has a Sml blk engine in the bay with
Turbo 350 and a B&M full rachet shifter, but I still have the cosworth engine which only had 69586 miles
upon removal and the four speed stick, With current setup it runs okay, but being a college student, I too
many bills and too little time to work on it, I've already cancelled my insurance on the car and am asking
$2400 for everything, or $450 if you are just interested in the cosworth engine, no prices are set in stone

Saw for sale, in Waterford, MI, a black (fresh repaint)Cosworth Vega, no stripes, firethorn cloth interior (faded), poor dash bezel read 3498. Correct wheels (need refinishing). Has been equipped with small block chevy and
turbo 350 trans with B& M shifter on floor. When I saw the engine conversion didn't bother with the phone
number. He is asking $3800. If anyone's interested I can go back. Thought Chris and Steve would like to add

This white Cosworth belonged to Cliff and June Eroskey from Euclid, OH. After Cliff’s death in 2006 it
was sold by June to a young man from her church for $5000.

According to a May 2010 membership application, this car now belongs to Aaron Markle of Erie PA.

Owned by Dave Pristash of Brecksville, OH. Offered for sale in mid 2008. “I own 1976 Cosworth Vega #
3505. After buying it I made modifications to the body and engine resulting a high performance
Cosworth with the racing cams and Weber carbs. In '82 I ran/slid off the road and damaged the front
end. I took the car apart and started to put it back together but it is still in pieces and all there except
the windshield. I am retired and working on my home and would like to sell the vehicle. The front end of
the car is disassembled (but the engine is in the body and it was started last year) and the pieces parts
are in various boxes.” [The car has been heavily modified and is more a racecar than a street car or
