Here is what we see: New paint for 50,000 mile car. Why? What was the condition of the body before
painting? Carpet is in terrible condition. The bezel gold paint is completed rubbed off. Series dash
plaque in terrible shape. Topseat bolster indicates a lot of wear from the car being driven. No stripes.
Non‐Vega hood pad. Non‐stock plug wires. And finally ‐ the pedals show a tremendous amount of wear
for only 50,000 miles. We question if this car truly a 50,000 miles car although, it does appear to have
the original muffler. Still be wary, better to deal with a club member. John and Richard

I live in the same town as the shop selling this car and last fall did a write up. It's been abused and is
screwed up and by the way it is sitting outside in the snow, ice and rain. Bob

Offered on eBay in December, 2004: “Welcome to the Corvette Collection in Plainfield Illinois online
auction! Tonight we offer this rare and limited production 1975 Chevy Vega Cosworth Edition number
0569. It is original black with black vinyl interior. The car has been repainted and looks great. Body is
very solid as well as frame and suspension. The Cosworth Editions were numbered. I believe only 3500
or so were built. This was a high horse power dual overhead cam, fuel injected four cylinder engine with
a factory header! This car new was twice as much as the standard version. Overall condition is very
good. There is a repair on the drivers side seat bolster and that's really it for the interior. The rest of the
seats, dash, gauges and headliner are in fantastic condition. It starts, runs, rides, drives and stops great.
The only thing I can notice on the car is on start up the engine idles a little higher than normal when the
car is cold but once it warms up it goes down which I am sure is characteristic of an old fuel injection and
there is a small rattle coming from the engine compartment that sounds like a heat shield rattle. I have
been told this is common on these cars and it is in fact a shield. Tires are newer within the last few
years. Brakes are manual and pulsate a little under hard stopping. I am sure that would just involve a
brake job such as cutting the discs and new pads. Clutch feels great as well as trans; shifting is very good.
These cars were not quite rocket ships but they have some zip for such a small car in the mid 70's when
the big horse power cars were getting slammed. Overall condition is great. If you have any specific
questions before bidding please call me at 815 693 9165 and ask for Greg from 9 AM to 9 PM. I will be
happy to answer any questions that I haven't already answered. The car is available for you to look at if
you are in the area please stop in and view it in our showroom. This will be a private auction so none of
my bidders will be subject to solicitation by other Vega sellers. This description is guaranteed to be as
accurate as we could state; if this car is not what we have stated the top bidder will not be liable for
purchasing it. This is a binding contract so please only bid if you are ready to purchase. Good Luck
bidding and bid to win! Thanks for checking us out at www*corvette collection*com.” VIN is
1V77E5U215935, and mileage is 50,443. Car is in Plainfield, IL.

2nd owner, Laken Soohoo, bought car from original owner in 1979 with 35K miles.
I bought it in 2015 with 39K miles. Car sat in storage from1980-2015. Still has the inspection sticker on the windshield that expires Feb 1980 and came with brand new Goodyear Wingfoots that was stored with the car, date coded 1980.
In 2017, car was stripped down to bare metal and repainted. Only rust was on the hood where something dripped on the car. It was cleaned up and treated before paint. All original metal on car.

According to Robert Bowen’s January, 1978 Registry, this car then belonged to Derek Pomfret of 49
Turkey Meadow Rd., Trumbgull, CT 06611.
i am larry reiher, then of west milford, nj. i purchased it from him as a still brand new vehicle which had never been registered or driven on the road after he took delivery frim the original dealer. i cic register it and drive it on occasion for a few years. i had it "undercoated" for rust prevention. ot has been garaged and covered with a car cover all its life. it did develop a leak in the internal heater coil and i did repair/replace that. i stopped putting new plates on it in the 90's and only drove it on rare occasions just to keep it oiled. i stopped driving it when the external fuel pump failed and so it would not start. that replacement part is known to be equivalent to a monza fuel pump. however my health and age have prevented me from making the fix.
i may have put a few thousand miles more than listed here. i am sure it is still under 20k and will check that the next time i go see it in storage. the wheels do need a refinishing b/c the gold has .lifted off. thhat was available for a reasonable fee when i checked.

From: "goatphister" Subject: #581 for sale(June, 2004): Having just purchased #1341 I will no longer
have time to finish 581 so I will offer it for sale. It has Webers, decent interior solid floors and
suspension, pop out side windows. It needs body and paint. Front fenders are nice and rear quarters are
solid, but it needs doors, hatch, and rear tail light panel repaired. It also has a rust spot on hood but I am
including a nice replacement with the car. I replaced the fuel pump with a new ac Delco stock Vega unit
that I am told will work nicely with the Weber Hutton set up. The sending unit stopped powering up
after I installed the pump so I am assuming the hardwire in the unit has lost contact. The car is located
in Wisconsin. The original wheels are in excellent condition. I will sell this car for less than the parts are
worth, $1200 or best offer. Matt Lepperd
