Offered in September of 2013. This is a nice rare 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega #1261. The car is in
good condition and the motor does run and sounds good. It has 71895 miles. The top of the dash has a
crack and the driver seat has a repairable tear. It is all original. The front and rear emblem are missing.
There are several parts and manuals that go with the car including the catalytic converter and the
original fuel injection system. The wheels including the spare are original to the car. This car has quite
the history including the infamous John Delorean ordering all Cosworths would be black with gold trim.
There were 2061 sold in 1975 and 1447 sold in 1976. There was a production run of only 3508 total.
More rare than the 1963 corvette split window coupe, there were 13,000 of them. This would be a nice
one to restore to showroom condition with very little investment. There is no body damage or rust.
Montrose, CO.

own CV1277. It is in very good condition. My plans are to keep moving the car toward original configuration. You may recall the radio issue I'm still working on. What I have completed is new carpeting, drive seat bottom repair. pulse air replacement, and general maintenance like light bulb replacement. I did add louvers and driving lamps. I keep the car garaged always. It has a little over 10K miles on it, and I put about 50 miles/yr on it. I plan to keep the car for years to come. If I get more space and disposable dollars, I would like to have a colored 76 CV to keep it company.
Reverse chronology on CV1277:
I bought (2019) it from a casual local collector whose wife told him to reduce inventory.
He bought (2016) it from the widow of a cop who had bought (2013) it at an auction house in Columbus, OH from another cop, and he drove it 2,500 miles back home (SLC, UT).
The OH cop did the paint work that is currently on the car. He bought (2010) it from a mechanic in Louisiana who did much of the mechanical work on it to get it going again. Work was done on the transmission (bell housing painted red). The car was trailered from LA to OH.
They guy in LA bought (about 2000) it from an owner in the western suburbs of Chicago where the car rotted in the driveway for 10-20 years. Acid rain did a number on the paint finish (pics in CVOA.com gallery).
The car was sold out of Greenway Chevrolet in Bowling Green, KY. That dealership no longer exists, but the organization still does, owning a network of dealerships across the southeast.
====================================
Other H-bodies I currently own:
(1) 1972 Vega GT, orange, original owner bought at Streator Chev, SLC, UT (this was my high school graduation gift to myself)
(2) 1977 Vega GT, black, original owner, bought at Gus Poulos Chev, West Valley, UT (this was my college graduation gift to myself)
My dad (orange 74 GT, and orange 75 Buick Skyhawk), brother (yellow 73 GT), and sister (white 75 standard Vega) had all owned new Vegas at various times. So Vegas were a family tradition. But mine are the only survivors, which my nephews drool over.
Thanks for all you do for the CVOA.

Very good condition pulse air tubes were purchased from Jay Hovick. Rubber hoses, manifold, and switch valve connected. Manifold was polished. The chrome pulse tubes are at the shop (Matt's Rod's and Restorations). The brass fittings will be replaced. Matt is in the hospital, so work delayed. In the meantime, Jay Hovick found 6 tube tips he is sending to me. I will contact Ed Wheeler to see if he still has the pulse air system he removed. One was or another, the pulse air tubes will be made like new.
