It's time to find Cosworth Vega #0321 a new caretaker. I am the second owner having purchased this car back in 2002. This car was ordered and delivered to the original owner in Blue Earth MN by L&M Chevrolet where the first owner worked. 0321 was Rusty Jones rust proofed by the shop tech at L&M and the first owner when delivered and has never seen snow being garage kept all its life. It has NO RUST anywhere including the battery mounting tray and spare tire well. It was ordered with all options except the 8-track player. It features cloth interior and swing out rear windows & posi (see window sticker). The engine is original and was rebuilt in the mid 1980's and engine block, cylinder head and cam carrier are matching stamped 296 by the engine builder, Cosworth of England valves were installed along with new rings and bearings. I replaced the cam carrier / cover gaskets in 2004. All fluids have been changed, oil, filter and anti freeze is replaced annually. Header was Jet Hot coated, hood insulation pad replaced and front clip repainted due to severe heat checking from original owner removing the hood pad. Radiator is a custom 3 tube vs factory HD 2 tube, heater core and internal heater box seals/gaskets have been replaced. High pressure fuel pump has been rebuilt and car has run on ethanol free fuel since 2015. Original alternator was rebuilt. Cam belt, distributor belt all hoses and water pump were replaced 7 years ago. Seats are perfect, headliner is perfect as is dash pad, gold dash face has lost some of its color. Car includes a lot of original paperwork, owner's manual, hang tags, shop service manuals, Chevrolet Cosworth service manual, most literature, service bulletins, GM/Chevrolet advertising materials and service guides printed by the Cosworth Vega Owners Assoc (CVOA) and almost a complete set of CVOA magazines, car magazines that featured articles on the Cosworth Twin Cam Vega and numerous binders for bragging at car shows. A large quantity of New Old Stock GM parts are included in the sale (see separate document) along with the required factory tool kit for engine service, most of these parts are no longer available and when found are expensive. Included is a complete set of front end suspension / steering parts by MOOG and sufficient spares to keep this car in service for another 50 years. What does this car need? To be honest nothing, however for a stickler it could use carpet as the original owner was a smoker and there are some cigarette burns near the shifter, the wheels are faded as all Cosworths are and the club has excellent sources for both of these items.
