There are believed to be 1447 CVs made for the 1976 model year. It is estimated 600 to 650 of those were colored CVs. We do not have exact production numbers, but the Registry has about 65 % of all 76' CVs with some sort of documentation. With extrapulation of numbers, it estimated about 800 76' CVs were black.
