After writing Randy Ball a letter we spoke on the telephone over the weekend. He confirmed he still currently owns 1544, he also owns another '75 Cosworth. I confess I wrote down the number but have misplaced the paper. He also confirmed that he did own #500 and I guess actually still does. The car was taken over by rust and he has parted it out. He keeps the parts for spares for his other Cosworths. So RIP #500. I expect to keep in touch with Mr. Ball and have asked him to let me purchase #500's dash plaque for nostalgic reasons.
