I know I am not the only one with this issue. My car has been parked for years because of this rusted suspension. The rest of the car is too good to waste. Bad left section with some metal removed. The following photos are a few of the progress. If anyone is interested I can publish the drawings of the parts I fabricated. Also I did do a structural analysis using CREO on the fabricated parts and they handle the load better than the original thin metal used. There is very little stress on the securing screws, much less than I expected. As I finish this project I will publish more pics.
Worked on removing the right side rusted section yesterday (with sawz-all). Had trouble getting the frozen control arm bolt out. I needed to pull the center tube out of the bushing with the bolt. I freed it up this morning and when I get back to the garage I will drill and assemble the right side.
