In January of 2008 your Editor was contacted by Everett Medeiros of Seekonk, NH. He still owns this car.
It has no block and dual Webers. He wants to sell it, and #0097 and #2180, both of which are in sad
shape. Epm54@verizon.net cell 774‐991‐2029

I bought #2196 with the intent of enjoying it a couple years, and it's now time to (reluctantly) move it on as I'm retiring at the end of the year and we're downsizing out of State to be closer to grandkids.

Sold new in Terre Haute, IN, this car passed to its second owner in that area before being purchased by the third owner in 1987, who eventually relocated to Rockford, IL. The car underwent a bare shell restoration in 1999, including a full engine rebuild, and accumulated about 6,000 miles under his ownership. I am the fourth owner as of 2018 and mostly returned the car to its ex-factory appearance with exception of engine and suspension mods. I've put about 2,800 miles on it (indicated - the speedo/odo is about 15% fast due to the 4.10 rear axle). Paint presents well from ten feet, but blemishes are evident here and there.

Engine, Drivetrain & Suspension:

· Rods polished and ARP bolts
· .030 over 9.5 to 1 forged pistons
· Sleeved block
· cylinder head refurbished
· Assembly balanced
· Total Seal rings
· Converted to 42 DCOE Webers
· 2 1/4” exhaust with 2 chamber Flowmaster
· 4 speed (original from factory)
· 4:10 posi rear (upgraded from factory 3.73 gearing)
· IECO lowering springs
· Bielstien shocks
· Flaming river quick ratio steering box
· Hurst shifter
· Repro GM chin and tailgate spoilers

Two sets of wheels/tires come with the car: (5) gold CV wheels with 1 year old BF Goodrich tires (original Goodyear factory spare) and (4) black-painted CV wheels with an older set of Hankook track tires. I will also include if desired a set of (4) four Firestone white-letter tires that were on the gold wheels when I bought the car (very low wear, but replaced due to age).

Also included are the original springs, steering box, FI system, racing harness mounting bar, and period ads, magazine articles, shop manuals, etc. (the 71VEGA plate is from my first car and is not included, nor is the DeLorean book. There's more than what's shown in the pic, tho).

The only repair I've had to make during my ownership was to replace the starter solenoid and rotate the driveshaft u-joints 180° to remove a driveline imbalance. The (original) radio does not work, and I disconnected the clock to prevent it draining the battery. Always parked/stored inside. Starts easy cold or hot and revs smoothly. I had my local shop fabricate a dual-tip exhaust (like the '75 CV would have), and the car has a delicious, crisp and raspy exhaust note.

I've priced it well below what I have in it (including what I spent on tires, etc.) in hopes of moving it along before Winter. Can deliver within an hour or two of Peoria, IL for an extra fee.

This is a CV you can enjoy driving, whether to Cars & Coffee (be prepared for a constant crowd) or at your local autocross. It's very comfortable running at interstate speeds, although it will be screaming!

I can be contacted at ed@peachtreeprairie.com or 309.678.8080 (txts ok).

Was listed by new member in March 2019 by David Grabsky in Mn. His goal was to make a Vega just like the one he had in his youth. So he bought a running driving CV because it was the nicest Vega body he could find. He is therefore parting the car out. Here is the Facebook entry:

Parts from CV #2207. (he has other plans for the shell. Car was running and driving and complete before he disassembed it). Parts are located in Tennessee. If interested, contact me via facebook messenger and I will give you the Member's contact info. I have a video of the engine, but Cannot seem to load it up. (He sent it to me via text. CAr runs very strong)

BTW received the latest mag from the CVOA. There was an article of the first 76 model being at a chevy dealer (Richardson Chevrolet) cosworth no. 2070. I purchased my cosworth 2209 new from Richardson (in march of 78, sat on their lot for 2 yrs.) I kept an eye on my cosworth for the 2 yrs at the dealer and was finally able to purchase it in 78 (when i had the funds $6250) during this time period i know of no other cosworth there.

No. 2070 may have been at a houston dealer, but not Richardson. Also, the pic in the article was taken at Richardson. Probably of my cosworth.

Supposedly belongs to Ron & Linda Siebeneck. They now live in Perry, OH.

If so, he sold it, then it was sold again. The listing read, "Hard to find original unmolested 1976 Vega Cosworth with 63,394 miles witch I believe to be original, but can't guarantee. Car has a rare 5 speed trans. Shifter says on top Hurst shifter, Quarter stick. Car is black with one repaint about 8 years ago, and has a black cloth interior. Interior is in very good condition with no cracks in dash. AM/FM, rear defroster, tinted glass, and owner's manual. In the one picture you can see tape is holding the insulation in place on a lid that covers the spear tire compartment. I tried to take a picture of the number on the dash that is 2213. Car is straight and solid including underneath. Pa. inspection until 6/12. Runs and drives very well. Bid with confidence. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. I will do my best to answer your question in a timely manner. As always, it's advisable to come see the car for yourself prior to bidding if possible. I can be reached by email or telephone at 717-246-0910 or 717-891-7507. If you win the auction, it's your car. Please understand that I will report winning bidder that cannot or will not complete the transaction. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping/delivery, although I may be able to deliver at a rate of $1.75/ mile."

According to a February of 2012 membership application, this car now belongs to Vinny Spinoccia of Toms River, NJ.. The VIN is 1V77O6U162707.
