My father and I used to belong to the CVOA and were fixing up a white cosworth vega with red interior that also got a spare engine with the car that was at one point rescued by a recycler employee that bought it before getting destroyed. We've had it for about 5 years now and in that time got it running on the original bendix efi and redid the brakes, fluids, plugs etc. Then once the bendix started giving us a bunch of trouble installed a set of the 45 DCOE dual weber carbs on it like cosworth originally had on their race cars. It's been about a year and some change since then and just sits in the garage unfortunately waiting to be cleaned up and restored. We also got a spare cosworth vega engine with the car when bought it that has around 30k miles on it.
We are thinking it's time to let it go to the next owner to finish the restoration and enjoy it, it's white with a cool red interior and the 4 speed, one of the later ones built according to number plaque.
Please let us know if you know of anyone in the CVOA who might be interested or if there is a way to share it with the other CVOA members to try and find a good home for it before listing it for sale.
Thank you!

My parents got this Cosworth back in 05/06 in Oregon state around Salem area. It was my little brothers first car he drove in highschool. Our father helped him getting in running. Now my young 16 year old daughter wanted it and was passed on to her and has it now and restoring it for herself. It has been sitting since 08. The dash number is 3244. I learned that this car was part of your registry way back in the early 2000s.

Appeared for sale on eBay in March of 2009: “Up for auction is Cosworth Vega #3251 in excellent,
original condition. According to the documentation I have, I'm the 7th owner. Originally a Southern
California car. Only owned by C.V.O.A. (Cosworth Vega Owners Association) members including myself
(when my dues are current!). I have names of all the previous owners. This is a near‐perfect example of
the breed, with every major desired option, including 5‐speed transmission, 4.10 Posi‐traction rear end,
swing‐out rear windows, AM/FM radio, and the optional color scheme of Buckskin/Saddle. There may
be as little as 4 or 5 Cosworths left in this color out of an estimated 10‐15 ever produced. Since its
purchase in 2000, its use has been limited to dry, sunny days, approximately 200‐500 miles per
year. Total miles are 59,000 and change. It runs and drives perfectly; everything works except the clock,
no drips, no smoke. It exhibits the correct fluctuation of idle speed during warm up, a pleasure to
operate. I've changed the oil and anti‐freeze yearly and started it up every 4‐6 weeks in the off‐
season. It had new Cooper tires put on in 2004; they are essentially new. The Orbital battery was new a
year ago. There are a few minor detractions from perfection, namely sun fading in the carpet from it's
former life in CA, and seam separation on the top of the rear seat (again, probably from sun). The
carpet in the front driver’s area shows a little wear. There are a couple tiny dings consistent with age;
they don't show up well in photos they are so small. The rims, while very presentable, have sun
faded, and could be refinished through the CVOA‐recommended vendor (Wheel Medic). Lastly, there is
a crack in the dash pad. I've been told this can be repaired. The only deviations from 100% originality
are: I removed the P.A.I.R. emissions system for better performance (still have all the parts and they go
with the car), the original catalytic converter was replaced by a free‐flowing mesh type, the muffler is an
aftermarket (and somewhat restrictive) replacement, it has a K&N air filter, Fram oil and fuel filters, and
the battery isn't Delco. It has been determined that while this is a numbers‐matching engine block, the
head was a warrantee replacement sometime back in the early '80's, which was fairly common for a
Cosworth I've been told, so the head numbers do not match the block. The car will be accompanied by
its original owner’s manual, an original Cosworth GM Maintenance supplement, a service manual for the
Borg Warner 5‐spd, and the vehicle build sheet. TERMS OF SALE: This is an original, vintage, collectable
car. While I want you to be as happy as I've been with it, there are no warrantees provided of any kind,
expressed or implied, and the car is sold AS‐IS. I highly encourage you to visit the vehicle in person, or
ask any questions BEFORE you bid. I can provide more photos and answer any questions you may
have upon request. I will consider delivery of the car in the greater Seattle area, or delivery to an agent
or shipping company for a small fee if requested, but shipping or pick‐up is completely up to the buyer. I
will agree to hold the vehicle for a reasonable period of time to facilitate shipment AFTER PAYMENT IN
FULL, but will accept no liability during storage. Please note that upon completion of auction a $500
deposit via PayPal is REQUIRED and is NON‐REFUNDABLE. This is to ensure buyer follow‐through, and if
not, covers my listing fees and the hassle of a relisting. I've had it happen before, so I'm sorry but that's
the way it is. I honestly don't care if you are the winning bidder, pay the deposit, and don't buy the car
for any reason. But I keep the $500. I require either CASH or PayPal for final payment. No money
orders or checks; personal, Cashiers, travelers or other. If this cramps your style, please don't bid.

The “Buckskin Baby” of Eric C of Seattle. He says, “I'd sure love to park it (#3252) next to #3251. I'll bet
there aren't very many owners of consecutive numbered Cosworths out there. Jake, would you trade
me the number plaque out of #2667 for the #3252?” EricC
I'm sorry, Eric, but there is no dash plaque with the car. I got the number by running the VIN with Chris
Wheaton. Jake of Coviello Racing. Doh! Oh, well, maybe #3250 will turn up somewhere. :) EricC

1976. RPO Z09 Cosworth option 1975‐76. Opinions vary, but approximately 500 left in existence.
Performance option consists of: Twin Cam 16 valve aluminum head, forged 8.5:1 pistons, forged steel

includes: H.D. clutch, 4 speed transmission, torque arm, and H.D. suspension. Originally a central
Florida car, it is exactly the way I found it 8 years ago. I have taken care of this car, and always kept it in
the garage. It has never seen snow or rain since I've had it. Comes with extra stripe kit, miscellaneous
spare parts, and a lot of memorabilia including the original brochure and framed detailed information
used as show display items. I hate to part with my baby, but all good things must pass. If purchased,
would like the option of buying it back when the buyer is ready to part with it. It has 77,310 miles
