I have had #240 since Sept 2019. I purchased it from Charles “Chuck” Antle from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I understand Charles had the car in and out of storage for about 8 +/- years as he bought it for his father who subsequently passed away .. thus the reason to sell. I understand Charles purchased the car from someone in Toronto, Ontario Canada about 2010/2011 (possibly a David Taylor ?). And I believe the previous owner was from Pennsylvania US (based on one of the photos I ‘ve seen that has a Pennsylvania license plate). If you or anybody would have info on the past history of this #240, I would appreciate receiving as I wish to understand and preserve this cars history which I am very interested in. Hi John
Bought CV dash # 1199 (actually #0242) (VIN 1v77E5U209022) new from Bud Wolf Chevrolet in Indianapolis while stationed at Ft Ben Harrison in 1975. Still have window sticker, build sheet, owners manual, etc. but unfortunately a year or so later the car burst into flames when I attempted to start it one morning and it was totaled. Always wondered whether it was crushed or survived. GM had several questions for me. I am going to Woodward Dream Cruise next week and was planning on stopping by your Berkeley location to see if anyone wanted my original paperwork. Only have one old picture.

Cal Abbott

Hello Cal, looking forward to you stopping by, for sure, at Woodward!
I show that vin lines up dash number #0292. Is it possible you got the dash number mixed up?

Maybe. The original docs had 1199 as an identifier but that could have been a dealer assigned number that had nothing to do with the dash number. Don't have any pik from the dash to verify. Your database is likely correct

Paul Wicker has dash plaque. Car is assumed RIP.
just found in a box at the house. I've never parted a car other than a 75 roller I sold to Bob Chin. might have come from that car. Any clear memory Bob?

Paul Wicker I put the engine from 3197 in that 75 with possibly the hurst shifter.
I can see if Indiana BMV has registration for that online if they go back that far

Paul Wicker Bob Chin , for the Registry info, was it a black vinyl, black cloth, or white vinyl interior? And when was the car scrapped?

Bob Chin Can't believe I stole dash plaque. Pretty sure I have hurst shift engine and transmission. Had to be late 1990's when you drove up and dragged it hoke

Offered on eBay in June of 2012 by Mid America Classic Mustang out of St. Charles, MO. According to
the listing, 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega Twin Cam Engine. This is a rare model of a performance 4 cyl.
car from Detroit that you just don't find in this condition. Most of them are long gone and a few are in
Chevrolet collections or museums. This car was privately owned for many years and was recently
acquired by us. We are offering this rare car to the eBay community so take a look! Original 2.0 Twin
Cam engine with a 4 speed manual transmission. These were basically option free special built cars that
were rationed to Chevrolet dealers. This Cosworth is in very good original condition and hard to find.
The rust free body is a testament to its meticulous care. The paint is still smooth and has a good shine
(see pics). The mechanics are good and this car drives very well. The interior is in very good original
condition for its age and all soft trim is good. Hard to find fault with this car as even the wheels are in
good condition. Some of the hard plastic interior trim panels have bad spots but still look good. The
engine holds 50‐60lbs of oil pressure at all times. It does have a performance muffler installed. The tires
are good and the bright trim is in very good condition including the bumpers. If you would like to own
the rarest of Chevrolet's Vegas then look at this Cosworth. A $1000 Non Refundable deposit is required
to confirm your purchase. The balance is due within 7 days after auction listing ends. Buyer pays
shipping to your location from St. Charles Missouri 63301. No warranty is expressed or implied and you
are buying this Cosworth as is where is. We reserve the right to end this auction at any time. As always,
Mid America Classic Mustang charges no additional fees nor do we collect any taxes regardless of your
location. Thank you !!
Any questions please call Mark @ 314‐795‐5584 . It is the same 207102 VIN.

Appeared for sale on eBay in December of 2009 out of Washington Court House, Ohio. According to the
listing, “I'm offering a super nice 1975 original Vega Cosworth, being # 0252 of a limited number
produced in 1975. This is a rust free car, I believe the paint to be original, but don't know that for sure.
There is a small damaged place on the edge of the rear hatch door, which i touched up. There are
scratches on the front bumper in the center. The paint is shiny and looks good but is not perfect, I
showed all i could in attached pictures. The interior is good.White interior I had the front seat inserts
replaced with original style material. A few pieces of the vinyl moldings are starting to deteriorate but
over all still look good. The trunk area is solid and very clean. The engine runs good and the car drives
great. The mileage on the car is 83472. When I bought it in June of 2007 it had 82300 on it. The mileage I
put on it was back and forth to car shows, and I got a lot of trophies for my efforts. I'm selling this car
because I want to not because I have to. If you have questions my phone number is 740/335/9271.
Payment is easy I only accept cash in full. You pick up the car if you buy.” The VIN is 1V77E5U207102.
.Seller’s phone is 740‐335‐9271.
This is a nice 75 Cosworth Vega, It has 83,472 miles, I only drive it to car shows. I have owned it 4 years, I
have a paper trail back to the dealership that received it. This car is # 0252. This Coz came with white
interior ,which makes it even more rare. Only 16% of the 75s had white interior. If you are interested in
owning a rare classic, e‐mail me at smith‐t@att.net. Due to health I am a motivated seller.

wanting to share that #253 is now alive and well after 38 years I have now got it all running and everything but the clock working and have drove it around locally. It seems to run and drive very well so now I have a NOS GM Time Belt and distributor belt, but have ordered all new and cam seals from the club and plan to change all that out. I have ordered complete gaskets as well and wanted injector seals for future plans but for now I plan to do paint touch up and drive it next summer before I do a total restore as its nice enough i hate to take it completely apart. I have attached current pics to update your data base as you have it listed as poor condition but it is far from it once paint touch up it is a very respectable 50 year old car with no rust through and 8 out of 10 interior with no serious issues either. I will send you further pics once im done cleaning up engine bay and done paint touch up.
Also for your data base I bought #807 as well but unfortunately I don't think it will ever be put back as a cosworth powered car but it did still have a complete cosworth engine and drive line but pretty rough body but not complete junk just not worth what it would take to repair to original, but i do have parts and dash as it sets! Thanks Cloyd
