I have a 1976 #3331 that I plan to restore with my son. Bought it in1986 and been all over states and
Korea with until it was parked in Denver 18 years ago. It’s still a doable car but we will see. I have to
finish the lotus Europa project first. Been almost 3 years. Wayne 480‐321‐5384. Call me when you get

An ad appeared on eBay for #2313, and the seller offered a cache of parts that could be purchased with
the car. Inquiry revealed that one of the cars that contributed to the collection of parts was #3335 and
that it was indeed RIP. The seller is located in Greenville, TN.

In April of 2007 this post appeared on Yahoo: “Hello everyone from Peterborough, Ontario Canada.
There is for sale at a car dealership a 1976 Cosworth Vega, year 1976. It has 98,000 miles, not in bad
shape, everything seems to be there. They have very complete paper work, including shop manuals etc.
They are asking $5,000.00 as is. Is this car worth this much? What about parts, how hard to get them?
Thanks for your help. Moose”

My acquaintance brought the two of us together and a deal was struck in April of 1994.
I had not a clue what a "Cos" was. In getting it "certified" the mechanic was hazily aware of the CVOA. I
ran down Bob Chin, he put me on to Mike Rupert, and the rest as they say is history. #3337 was sold
first at Palmetto Chevrolet in Conway SC (build sheet). When I first drove #3337 there was a rattle in the
driver’s door. Upon removing the panel I found a tin “for sale” sign with a phone #. Ring. This is mom
in Sumpter, SC; her son, who then lived in Columbia SC, was informed and in time I received a letter. He
bought it at age 17 in 1977 in Sumpter as the 3rd owner. His is the only name, in addition to Palmetto
and Keven Elliott, which I have. I have no reason to think it has any relevance. The car appears to be
very much original and in very good shape to restore, which I am attempting to do. I would be happy to
answer any other questions you have re #3337. Body ID tag:

My car, #3337, was driven to Markham Ontario, Canada in August of 1991 by "someone" from the
"south". The first registry here is Keven N. Elliott, R2 Vanessa, Ontario. An acquaintance of mine traded
for it at an auto auction (held annually) in Markham (in August of 1991) (it didn’t sell). He couldn’t sell it
either, and traded it to another chap. This fellow was into sports cars and was less than enamored with
it. I had traded a lot of antique furniture to my acquaintance for a 1962 356 B, which I was less than
enthused with.

This is a 1976 Chevy Cosworth Vega, car #3342, with 47,855 miles. It is white w/white upholstery and
firethorn carpet and dash. It has a 4‐speed tranny. The car is in nice shape, but like all these cars needs
some work. The front left fender has a dent, but that can be fixed. The body has small rust spots. The
undercarriage was cleaned and coated. The car was running last year when I parked it, but is now not
running. It probably needs the battery charged and the fuel line charged. There is no express warranty
or guarantee of any kind. The car sold as is. The buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up of the car.
Pictures were taken with my cell phone, so they don’t show everything. I added some new pictures of
the windshield area and the battery tray area and spare tire area. The small rust spots around the
windshield frame are about the size of a dime. The battery tray has rust on surface [and the photo
shows the core support and the entire area below the tray are rotted completely away! Ed.] and the
spare tire area has some rust and a hole in the left side of the area. I can’t see the hole from
underneath so, I’m thinking it goes thru the inner well only but I’m not a bodyman. Located in Slovan,
PA. Did not sell at $1500—zero bids. Yahoo Post.

I'm listing this for my sister-in-law, she is handling her fathers estate. It's a 1976 Cosworth Vega with less than 17000 miles on it. It has a 5 speed trans and someone stole the radio. The hood is bad from the roof leaking and it has a rust spot at gas spout and one at the left rear tail light. I did turn the motor over to be sure motor was not stuck and pull the gas tank to be sure it was not full of bad gas. this car was last driven in 1983. It has the orginal A title in her dads name ,she has power of attorney over. Cash sale only.
