I might have seen this one. Several years ago I purchased a fiberglass cowl induction hood from a guy in
Noblesville In. He had several vehicles stored in a factory building, & was apparently selling some of
them to make room for others he had coming. He had 2 Cosworths & one of them had been V8'ed.
....Badly I must say. He made it clear rather quickly that it wasn't he that had done the deed. I don't
remember the dash # though. I'm in Niles Mi not far from Elkart BTW. Jon

11/22/09 Mark, I found another missing Cosworth. # 0270 is Black w/ Black Vinyl, no swing‐out
windows, no rear defogger. Interior is remarkably good with the exception of the dash which is
disassembled and lying in the hatch area. The current owner said it was a victim of a V8 swap many
years ago and the original motor is long gone. It has a narrowed 12 bolt rear in it now, no motor. It's in
Rockville, IN and is for sale as is for $ 3,500. I asked about purchasing the body and the interior but was
shot down. He took my number in case he changes his mind. I will be forwarding pics and the VIN
number as soon as I get the chance. Stephen Ryno, #0476, Elkhart, IN

Beautiful show quality 1975 Chevy Cosworth Twin Cam Vega. #271 out of approximately 3500
produced in 1975 and 1976. This award winning Cosworth is in outstanding condition. When is the last
time you have seen a rust free Vega? This car is a true time capsule that has been maintained and well
cared by me for the last 10 years. The only reason I am selling is because I just don't really drive it much
anymore. I want it to go to a good home where it will be cared for. Very reliable and starts right up. Here
are some other highlights:
1. Rust free California car. Even the battery box area is in great shape.
2. Factory 4 speed transmission and limited slip differential.
3. Factory engine has been rebuilt by Hutton Motor engineering with high compression pistons, iron
cylinder sleeves, valve seals on intake and exhaust valves, rebuilt alternator, new clutch and
more. I had it dynoed a few years back and it is putting down around 124 rear wheel horsepower
with stock injection and cams. A very nice bump above stock. Runs excellent and is fun to drive.
4. Factory exhaust header has been jet coated for durability and style.
5. New fuel injectors.
6. New tires.
7. Original Cosworth specific cast wheels in great condition.
8. New exhaust and cat converter.
9. Exterior Paint and stripes in great condition.
10. Factory swing out windows.
11. Desirable black and white cloth faced seats and interior in outstanding condition with factory
floor mats..
12. Glass in excellent shape.
13. Original GM optional factory Hatch Hutch tent made specifically for the Vega hatchback goes
with sale.
14. Two Cosworth logo folding chairs also included along with other Vega specific memorabilia and
manuals.
15. Factory radio works great and I replaced the front speaker with a new improved design that fits in
original spot with no change to dash.
VIN 1V77E5U208116. Mileage 44,040. Location: Hudson, NH. Referenced in Yahoo post 5/9/2003

This car was recently acquired by Anthony Quindazzi , ant280@webtv.net . He replaced the timing belt
and afterward had a problem with his temperature gauge not working. In July of 2003 he penned this
question: “My seat belt light will not shut off. The buzzer stays on till belt is fastened, then it shuts off.
Light stays on. Any thoughts? Thanks.”

It looks much better from a distance( 20 -50 footer). Definitely will always have a Cosworth engine under my ownership. The wheels are custom made by Holeshot Drag wheels, 15 x 4 and 15 x 7.. It does have Harwood fiberglass bumpers and hood.It has all new or rebuilt suspension, rack and pinion steering, and 4.10 rear with an Auburn posi unit. It is pretty well stripped to the bone, but I have most everything the car left the factory with.. I purchased it from the original owner in Kingsport TN in 2017. He purchased it new from Love Chevrolet in Columbia, SC. I have uploaded a few more pics, and will fill out more car info in a day or 2. I also plan to hop up the engine soon. I have messaged with Billy Beam a few times ,he seems to be knowledgeable about what needs to be done, so may let him build it for me, not sure quite yet.

The guy we sold it to still has the car, but put a different V-6 in it. Its basically a rusted shell now that doesn't run.

Sold to John Cowall in 1992 along with #1002 and a ’76 that he parted out. On the 40 mile
drive home the car sucked an intake gasket and all the oil out of the oil pan, and the engine stopped a
scant two miles from home. When the engine cooled down and fresh oil was added, John drove it the
rest of the way home, and fixed the gaskets. Young John (JJC) then drove it for a while but soon tired of
it because it still had the original 3.73 axle and even with 80 series tires the engine ran out of revs
immediately. It had gobs and gobs of torque, however. It would get to fourth gear at 25 MPH.

This was one of the three cars (#0279, #1440 and #3028) sold to Bill Hutton, who pulled the engines and
sold them to Oldsmobile. This car shell was sold to a GM employee( Paul Wicker ) who had Katech install a 2.8 liter V6
from an S‐10 pickup. This was a stock engine and the car was driven for a while and then sold to Paul
Wicker who also used it as a daily driver.

NO RESERVE‐ NO RESERVE......Sells to the highest bidder. 1975 Cosworth Vega #0282 with clear Indiana
title in my name.I used a few pieces of this car to restore Cosworth # 0079 two years ago. I did not end
up using much of it. This car DOES NOT RUN. I did not try to take out the spark plugs and spin the engine
as I think the cylinders should be soaked down with oil first. However, the engine oil looks fine as you
can see on the dip stick in photos. The transmission shifts and the car rolls around in neutral easy
enough. All of the engine and drive train parts are there along with the working keys in the steering
column. These Cosworth's all had 3:73 posi rear ends in them. The drive train is complete. The interior
needs new carpet but it otherwise 90% there. The car has the rear hatch spoiler and rear glass louvers. I
can not confirm they are original spoiler and louvers and may have been added by a prior owner. I have
three of the 4 original Cosworth wheels that go with the car. See photos as I have laid everything I have
out that goes with the car in these photos.Body wise: The car has great doors. good left fender, good
grille and front parts and rear body. Please, see photos. Hood is rusty. Floors are rusty. Original radiois
there and missing only one knob. You could restore this car or use it for parts. I will assist with loading
on transport of your choice and transport is buyer responsibility..Again this is a no reserve auction so
make sure you can pay for it if you win. I will answer any reasonable questions and provide specific
photos if asked in a business like manner.Indiana title states mileage is exempt. Mileage listed is what
shows on the odometer. WINNER TAKES ALL !!!

Car was parted out and engine transplanted into dash#3241. JD Smith bought #3241 in Palatka, FL in 2002 and restored car. The seller stated that engine came from a 1975 and included a positraction rear end along with other misc parts. Since it was as 75 it was never used. It sat outside and unfortunately, water got inside and rusted the gears.

During autocross event at the Florida Roundup#28 a rod came thru side of block. Engine was stripped and head/cam carrier, etc were sold. Engine from #2474 was transplanted into #3241.
