Steve bought this car from a guy in Philadelphia sans engine with the intention of dropping an LT‐1 small
block into it. He put 5 lug rotors in front, and 28 spline axles in back. He installed a locker differential
out of a 2002 Camaro LT‐1. He had to enlarge the hole in the stock brake drums to get them to fit the
axles. He paid $1700 for the car, lost interest in the project, and sold the car for $2000 to a fellow from
Memphis, TN in late spring of 2007. Steve says the car was basically solid, but that the battery tray area
was gone, and there was some rust in the quarter panel areas.

This car appeared on eBay in October of 2006: “#0588 of 2061 built in1975. Very rare and collectable
Cosworth Vega. Was originally built with a 2.3L twin cam, 16 valve aluminum Cosworth head. Originally
black and trimmed in gold with gold cast aluminum wheels. Engine tuned dash appliqué, anti roll bars
front and rear, specific gear ratios for the 4 speed manual transmission. (370 positraction) currently this
is a very low mileage Cosworth that has been changed to a V‐6 but really needs a V‐8 which is a direct
bolt‐in. The car has light surface rust. This car is clean and would make a great rare street car or race
car. This is a fresh barn find that has not been on the highway since 1982.” The car is located in
Souderton, PA, has 59k on the clock, and a VIN of 1V77O6U216465. Black vinyl interior.

Listed on eBay in May of 2004 with 143396 miles. It is a black with black vinyl car, and is very rusty.
“VIN 1V77E5U216580. Car #0591. Starts right up, but runs a little rough. Has not been on the road much
in the last year or so, but has been started and let run regularly. Entire car was repainted many years
ago. There is old body work, a few new dents, rust holes in the body, the trunk floor, tail panel, and
starting to go thru under drivers feet. Most chrome is OK, shows signs of its age. Door handles have
some pits. Speedo shows 43,396, owner says it has is rolled over. Rubber items, like the door belt
moldings etc, are dry and crispy, have losses. Dash appears to be good‐ there is a crack around the radio
knob. Aftermarket radio. Seats have been recovered‐ looks like a professional job. Car will go down the
road‐ but I wouldn’t go too far‐ needs work. There is a PLETHORA of extra parts that are included in the
deal. The owner of this car and his brother each owned one of these cars. The brother totaled his years
ago. They salvaged what they could. Extra stuff includes the following, and more. Another Cosworth
Vega engine‐ disassembled. Both the car and the extra motor have the Hutton aftermarket carburetor
set up. There are gasket sets, a set of 4 steel cylinder sleeves, camshafts, steering parts, transmission,
exhaust header, driveshaft, headlight assembly with bezel and housing, brake parts, one original fuel
injection system, one computer, etc. Even the spare tire is on a Cosworth rim. The extra motor had a
valve seat come loose, and it did some damage to the head. Cylinder wall is OK. The owner swears a
machine shop can fix the head. All of these extra parts were moved out from a storage shed to take the
pictures. They have not been outside in the elements unprotected. This car is in the vicinity of Rocky
Mount N.C. You will need to make all arrangements to have the car and the parts picked up. If you have
any questions, call or email me. This has been consigned to me to sell. Owner takes responsibility for all
information."

Offered on eBay in March of 2003: Excellent running and driving 1975 Cosworth Vega. 22,605 miles.
What is a Cosworth Vega you ask? Well, for two years, 1975 and 1976, Chevy Vega was offered with the
Cosworth Racing package, a limited edition were made, my car is number #0610. It is stamped on the
dash plaque. It came factory with the 16 Valve Dual Overhead Cam four‐cylinder, with factory header,
and fuel injection. This one has a Saginaw 4 speed manual and a 3:73 geared posi‐traction rear end, all
factory. The valve cover is stamped Cosworth Vega, and the side of the block still has its Chevy Racing
performance #1 Decal on it. The only things that have been changed (upgraded) with the motor, is the
engine now has an electric fan, works better, and not loud, nice upgrade, and the primitive fuel injection
has been removed and dual side draft WEBER Carbs have been installed, makes this car pretty quick for
a four cylinder. I originally bought this car because my wife wants to get a Rust Free Vega, paint it Pink
and have me put a V8 in it. Well, I bought this car, but because of its original condition, I will not allow
her to paint this car, and change the motor & tranny (she wants an automatic). If you wanted to put a
V8 in it, it would bolt up to the tranny and fit in the car, but it takes a special set of headers and motor
mounts, and then you’re ready for some serious power, tranny and rear end, and radiator, all ready for
the V8. I hate to sell this car because not only is it 99.9% rust free, (there is a small spot of SURFACE
RUST ONLY by the rear tail light, barely visible, and very easy fix, no Bondo needed.) Also, the interior is
like MINT, the only thing I can find wrong in the whole interior is that the rear seat (that folds down) has
split along the seam, but has been held together with some clips, looks nice still, not torn up, but will
need to be re‐sewn to be show ready. Front buckets MINT<great carpet, perfect headliner, original
spun aluminum dash, three newer gauges installed for more accurate reading on oil pressure, temp, and
gas meter. All gauges work. Aftermarket Pioneer Stereo system and Pioneer speakers, sounds
nice. Radio is a detachable unit for anti‐theft. Perfect glass, no cracks or chips, fold out rear windows,
rear hatchback, center console, and car is currently licensed and safety inspected, runs and drives great,
stays in garage, but could be a daily driver if wanted to. Tires are all matching and like NEW, original
rally wheels, but have been repainted sometime ago, still look good. All four wheels still have their
factory center caps. All lights, inside and out, work great, gauge lights all work. Motor is very clean,
runs excellent. Carbs have manual choke. Car being parked in my garage for a month in same spot left a
small oil spot the size of a quarter‐dollar, (very small), and I have tracked it down to the oil filler cap
gasket, easy fix. This car is hands down the best Cosworth Vega, or Vega period that I have seen. The
paint is showing its age a little and to be a show car, would need to be repainted again, but car looks
good AS‐IS, a real head turner, too. Car is fun to drive, windows roll down smooth, and everything
works like it should, even the E‐Brake. You are not bidding on a basket case or a project car, you are
bidding on a great running/driving solid investment, and something you can be proud to own. I can find
NO dings or dents in the car anywhere, and NO RUST except for the small size of a quarter dollar right by
the driver’s side tail light, surface only, easy fix. I have a clean Missouri title, ORIGINAL Vega Chassis and
Body parts catalog from GM 1975, original Service and Overhaul Manual supplement for the 1975
Cosworth Vega (very rare and hard to find), two sets of keys, and an original VEGA key tab, all included
with this auction. This is a very nice car, does not look to be 30 years old! Looks BRAND NEW
inside! Come see the car in person, you will fall in love with it! I am offering the car for sale on eBay
one time, possible trade or partial trade for a rust free V8 Vega from the early 70's, but must be nice (I
will repaint, so paint is not an issue). Cash is OK, too! :) Thanks for looking, be sure to email me with
any questions, and feel fee to check the car out in PERSON. Car is located at my home in North Kansas
City, MO 64116. I live 10 minutes away from KCI airport, fly in and drive it home!

This is an all original Cosworth Vega ‐ it is virtually showroom new inside and out. It is a rare original of
the 3,500 built ‐ this is collector dash plaque number 612. Those that know the Vega know how
extremely rare this car is as a rust free original requiring very little to be in mint condition ‐ that includes
even the floor carpets. It has 31k miles on it. This car has the original title and showroom brochures.
Additionally, I have a few articles on the Cosworth indy car story and features integrated into the
Cosworth Twin Cam Vega Engine with 4 speed manual transmission. This car drives and brakes
respectably. This car showcased several 1st in a GM production vehicle including Aluminum Wheels,
Stainless Headers, and Electronic Fuel Injection. Serious inquiries only please 2four8‐seven60‐seven117

According to a September 2006 email to your editor, “#616 Vin #1V77E5U217386. This car is the one
that I am attached to. My wife Katrina and I drove the wheels off of it when we were dating. I bought
the car in 1997. It was my first Cosworth. My cousin had 1991 at the time so I had heard a little about
them already. I traded a 69 Chevelle for this and a 198? Monte Carlo. This car was not running at the
time. Supposedly it was the "$27 fuel pump" But anyways the guy that I got it from had bought it and
never could get it to run. Well it was the high pressure pump and in a afternoon had it running by
tearing the pump apart and freeing it up. The title on this cars title is still stamped new. It was bought by
Michael S Johnson, Foree Lane, Ten Mile, TN 37880. He acquired this car on 9‐27‐75. It was financed
through Meigs County Bank, Decatur, TN 37322, and appears it was paid off Jan, 1980. I am planning to
restore this car this winter. It is running and driving. It does not have the stripes on it at this point.
Someone had painted it before I got it and had not put the stripes back on. But I did receive an NOS set
of GM stripes with the car. Ronnie, Tellico Plains, TN.” Ronnie had earlier sent an e‐mail saying “I have
one that is a running driving car, #0616. The VIN is IV77E5U217386. This car does run and drive and I
have had it since 1997. Title is still stamped new from where original owner bought it. It has 75000
miles. Emission tubes have been removed has Flowmaster muffler and K&N filter and the rest of the car
is stock. I am getting ready to paint and re‐stripe this car.

Offered on eBay in November of 2012 out of Nichols, New York by six06racin. Listing reads: "I have a 1975 Cosworth. It starts, runs great, and the driveline works. It has the 4spd manual; the car is all original with 56k. Seats are in good shape but the car will need all the plastics on the interior replaced as they are very brittle due to the age and being stored. The car was last registered in 1984. It also needs a gas tank as there's not one in it. The body is straight other than one dent in passenger fender. It has a clean undercarriage; there is a rust hole under the battery which is typical. I have a clear New York State title. If you have any questions or would like more pics or to come check it out, my number is 607-379-4196." It has a white interior. The photo of the dash plaque can't be read The readable number is 06x8.
