Belongs to Bill Stroud of Akron, OH. It was his father’s car. It has Weber Carbs, and a test pipe, but is
otherwise stock. He is in the process of restoring it. He finds it a blast to drive. March, 2005.

My brother has a 75 Cosworth #777 that he has owned for about 25 years in excellent condition. He recently has experienced a bucking problem that appears to be a fuel related problem - perhaps the fuel filter. However he cannot find any info on the fuel filter that is located on the firewall under the heater box. Is this filter still available anymore? He had previously installed an inline filter under the car before the original one. Any ideas??

I purchased the car about 3 months ago from a person in Wrightwood. Don't know much history passed that. I did transfer it to my name and the registration is current. The dash number reads 0786.
I recently pull what looks like the original motor, it did turn over but no compression. I am in the process of getting it completely overhauled. The car is now at a body shop and should be done and painted by mid December.

of 2005: I thought you might like to see some photos of CV #0800 that I have been working on.
Whatever I replaced (from the original stock equipment) I kept in order to put back at some later point
in time. Anyway, I emptied the bay, stripped and restored same, then stripped and resealed the motor
and drive train. I still have to do the rear. I picked up CV800 in September. Has anyone found an
effective stainless polish for the headers? I understand it may be a bit like polishing furniture on the
Titanic, so given that fact I expect real frequent re‐polishing will be necessary; but the stuff I have tried‐‐
Mother's, etc., doesn’t seem to quite cut it. Thanks, Joe

2016 of the first year production of the Cosworth Vega. It is black with gold factory mags, gold stripes,
gold bezel dash with the tag marking its number 800. the car is mint in and out!!! This was GMs first

the rally sport package also!!! Thanks. Mint 9.9 out of 10 in and out, looks like it came off the
showroom!!!! VIN is 1V77E5U225770.” Highest bid was $1000—reserve not met. Ed.

Car reappeared on eBay in late October of 2003 with the following description: the Cosworth Vega is a
highly sophisticated sports concept designed to generate excitement and bolster interest in the gm
domestic small car market. Another objective was to establish the design superiority and engineering
excellence of this Vega option in the minds of knowledgeable enthusiasts. All 1975 Cosworths were
black with gold striping, and gold painted aluminum wheels. Each of the vehicles carried a serial
numbered plaque on a gold tinted engine turned dash bezel. This is # 0800 of 2,061 built. The 1975
Cosworth model also utilized the new Monza torque arm rear suspension, special tachometer, and
exclusive transmission and final drive gear ratios. Now, most surviving Cosworths are owned by people
who understand how unique an automobile it was. The Cosworth Vega included many firsts: the first
double overhead cam sixteen valve engine to be domestically produced and sold by general motors, the
first use of electronic fuel injection by Chevrolet, the first use of a factory installed stainless steel
exhaust header, the first use of pressure cast aluminum road wheels. As many of you know, these items
are commonplace on today's vehicles. It was these firsts that led car & driver magazine to name the
Cosworth twin cam Vega one of the worlds ten best collector cars built since 1974 in their January 1986
issue. You are bidding on a very rare, mint condition 1975 Chevy Cosworth Vega. The car features black
paint with gold striping, and gold painted wheels. The interior is finished in white vinyl, and is flawless.
The carpeting is black, and is in pristine condition. This is # 0800 of 2,061 built. For more information
you may contact us @ (631) 691‐cars, or southshore.autosales@verizon.net. Although the odometer
reads 21,521, the car is more than ten years old, and is being sold as true mileage unknown.
