Ira West Jr. of Laconia, IN, 47135 (30 miles west of Louisville off I‐64)(812‐737‐2897 or 502‐417‐9175)
bought this car for $500 without an engine or trans or ECU or engine or computer wiring harnesses. He
offered it for sale on eBay in February of 2010. He contacted the Club to see if he could find the dash
number as it is missing. It still has the Texas license plates and Department of Safety sticker
on the windshield. The sticker on the back has Temple, TX on it. He bought the car from Robert L.
Ewers of Evansville, IN. The license plate frame says Deanza Chevrolet, Riverside Center. The trim tag
info is ST 75 1 HV 77 U 318102 TR 11Y A51 19L 19U 06C 50‐7959 235839C. According to his
eBay ad: 1975 Cosworth Vega. It is missing the motor and trans. This car is solid. It has the factory 3.73
10 bolt posi rear end. There is no rust in the quarters or trunk pan. It has a couple of small pinholes in
the driver’s side floorboard. The floor pans are not soft. It has a little rust in the hood, and two spots on
the right upper quarter between the hatch seal and quarter skin. They are about the size of a quarter;
the car came out of Texas. It was last on the road in 1993.it has been garage kept ever since. I have done
some research on the car and it was built the third week of June in 1975 at the Lordstown Ohio plant. It
was the135838th Vega built in the 1975 production year. It is missing the Cosworth emblem on the tail
panel. It is also missing the center caps for the wheels. It has all five of the factory Cosworth wheels. It is
also missing the Cosworth horn button and the plaque that was affixed to the dash that told what car
number it was. They were gone when I received the car. It also has the white bucket seats and came out
with black carpet. There were only 330 cars with this option made. i have the original drive shaft as well
as one for a v8 conversion that goes with it also the radiator and a pair of v8 motor mounts. The interior
needs redone due to years of sitting. There were only 3500 of these cars built. This is a rare care. This
car is unmolested. The rear pop‐out windows are inside the car. And they are in good shape. It also has
air shocks. The ECU is missing. The pedals are still in the car. I don't know if the fuel injection wiring
harness is still in it. I would say it’s not since the ECU is missing. I don't know the series number if that
means the car number. I have all the keys to it. The title is clean and in my name.
