This car appeared on eBay in June of 2012. The VIN is 1V77E5U249081. It has 29,341 miles. The listing
reads, "I'm selling this for a very good friends estate. So I do not know a lot about it! 1975 Chevrolet
Cosworth Twin Cam Vega with 29,356 miles. This is # 1241 of 2061 that was produced in 1975. Gold‐
plated dash plague with # 1241. Cosworth Vega was a limited‐production high performance version of
the Vega. 2 door hatchback coupe with a 4 speed manual trans. Black acrylic lacquer with "Cosworth
Twin Cam" lettering on the front fenders and rear panel. Gold pinstriping and black interior. Engine is a
122 cu. in. inline four with die cast aluminum alloy cylinder block. Electronic fuel injection. The only
thing I see wrong with this Cosworth Vega is the "spider cracking in the paint"(I was told because of the
acrylic lacquer), it's no big deal, but if you are going to make it a show car, you might want to paint. Very
low Reserve and Selling "AS IS", SO PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTION BEFORE YOU BID. ( I will do my best to
answer all questions). I do have the original bill of sale from 7/6/76, sold in Powhatan, Virginia (framed)
and the new vehicle inspection procedure sheet (framed). A copy of a advertising of the Cosworth Vega
from Chevrolet(framed). The 1975 Virginia white license plates # PTB‐301 also included. This is a very
nice and very hard to find in this condition." Sold for $6.200.

Here's a link to a thread on the h‐body forum telling of a couple unregistered CV's, #0927 and #1245.
#1245 was parted several years ago, VIN unknown and #0927 is the current project in a high school
automotive shop class. I have asked for other info on it. I believe the school is somewhere in NY.

Would there be any interest in the Club donating parts to the school project?

According to a 1980 (or so) letter from Ken Rowan of Omaha NE on a Metro Area Business Lists Inc.
Ralston, NE 68127 letterhead, "I have a 1975 Cosworth Vega, Production Number 1254. The engine in
the car was completely rebuilt in 1979. There are currently 35,000 miles on the car with 4,000 on the
rebuild. The body of the car is in need of minor repair and a complete paint job. There is no rust on the
car and no damage from accidents. The car was hit at one time and the repair job was not real clean.
The finder lines just don't line up. I have the decals needed to re‐letter the Cosworth emblems but had
planned on having the stripes painted on. My intent was to restore the car but due to cash shortages I
want to sell to someone who plans to restore the car. If you are interested please write or call me. 402‐

According to a 2017 membership renewal, this car belongs to Eric B. Carter of Schuyler Falls, NY. The
VIN is in fact 1V77O6U244419. However, he does list #1255 as the dash number. It must be incorrect as
this is a ’76 VIN.
