In January of 2007 this car again appeared on eBay with the following ad: “Rare 1975 Vega Cosworth “Twin Cams”, number 1846 of the few thousands built. I purchased this car a few years ago intending to restore it, but I just have not been able to find the time. I believe the car is complete. I start it up once in a while to keep the battery charged. I was told that it was always a Calif. car. No rust that I can see. It has minor dings & dents. I believe that the interior is the original. The odometer shows 15321, I don’t know if it works or not. I have a clear title and new plates for it, but I have it on a non-op since it’s just stored in my garage. Great project car. With a little T.L.C. this could be a very nice car for someone.”
This car was on eBay again in September of 2007 with the following ad “1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. i don't know a lot about this vehicle but engine runs but car does need restored.. This is a California no rot car so great for a restoration of what will be a rare and unusual collector car. I have stored the car inside and outside with it covered from the sun. You can call Mike at 1-760-956-3171 if you have questions. I just don't have the time or desire to restore this car. My loss your gain. Payment expected in 7 days or less. I can store the car for awhile if needed. Car # 1846.” Black/ Black Vinyl

Appeared for sale on eBay in November of 2005: “You are bidding on a 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega, #1846. It is a complete running car but needs a tune up. This car is a rust free California car with the original black paint. It has a custom roll bar. This vehicle has 15321 miles on the odometer. There is no radio, a small ding has been repaired on the passenger side rear quarter (see photo), the driver’s side rear window is missing a piece of trim and the driver’s seat has been torn. The tires need replacing. The Cosworth engine is complete and stock including the stainless steel header and has a four speed manual transmission. The battery tray area has no rust. This vehicle has a clear California Title. We try to give an honest description of our parts. If you have any questions, please hit the Ask Seller button and you will get an answer. All parts or vehicles are sold as is, no returns.” The vehicle is currently located in Southern California. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.” The VIN is 1V77E5U268596. The interior is black cloth. The side stripes are missing but the wheel arch stripes are there. The paint is very bad, and the car looks more like a 115,000 mile car from the photos.

According to a Yahoo! Post by Rob in September of 2006 (#16888), he just dragged in a Cosworth with VIN 1V77E5U268771. The dash plaque was gone; the car is a “pile of rust” but has the “goodies he needs to finish a project.” Accordingly it is being listed as RIP. He later posted: “Mark, I drug the car out of the woods in central PA. It has been in a flood, its engine is gone, it’s in horrible shape and I won’t need but a day to finish it off. i suspect it was sold new in Lewistown, PA due to the extremely faded sticker on the tail light panel. It has been thru 2 or 3 owners since it hit the woods; I am supposed to get a title for it. If it appears, I will advise you of the owner’s name on the paper.
