VIN stamp/all engine and frame placard stamp locations
Hello all,
#2044 is finally in Spain and I am in swift need of all number stamps and placards locations for registering it. I know about the VIN in the dash by windshield and the door placard but in particular I need location of frame stamp but locations of any VIN/Frame/engine stamps appreciated. Is there a frame number or other location for VIN placards or stamps or placards? Many thanks in advance.

On my '75 I know there is a VIN # stamped in the body. It is located in the left rear wheel well in the lower rear area. It is stamped in a horizontal reinforcement strut welded in back there. It is next to a bolt that is used to attach the tail pipe hanger. You may have to clean and scrape the surface to find it. It may be covered with undercoating.
