76 engine bay wiring diagnostic assistance

Hello there, Im trying to go through my new cosworth that I got and am going through the engine bay wiring and there seems to be some hokeyness going on with the wiring. First 2 images are a question, does that wire that T's off the harness go to the engine bay light on the hood? Id like to remake a new wire to it if so. I cant seem to find any other wire on the driver side that's exposed, I tried to look at a wiring diagram from the 1975 service and overhaul manual but not sure it shows it cause 76 and when I put a test light on the wire it has power. Second question with the rest of the pictures, on the passenger side by the battery, obviously someone did some butt connectors on the battery wires, dont know if someone can look at the pics and just verify they had done it right, I think so cause everything in the car turns on but the wire diagram again was throwing me off in the manual. But the REAL question is that one yellow cut end off thats a little deeper in the bay.You can see it blurred in the fourth to last pic, near the alternator. Im not sure where that's supposed to connect to, couldnt find another end to it, Its a pretty substantial wire, like 12 gauge and its got 12 volt hot on the meter. Any assistance is appreciated, thank you.

Ah yes found where it goes, though the connector is gone I'll have to put a new one on. That seems to solve the wiring issues in the engine bay, thank you very much. May have some questions about the wiring under the dash but that's for another post.
