Saginaw 4 Speed
Hello everyone. I am wondering if the Saginaw 4 Speed is the same for the CV versus the standard Vega. And if parts such as the clutch disk, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and clutch fork are all parts that are readily available. Thank you so much.

There is some slight gear ratios that are different, but externally, the 4 speed is the same as a standard Vega. Clutch disc, pilot bearing, etc. are all the same and readily available through Rockauto.com. The ratios are explained in a tech tip in one of the recent CVOA Magazines. MAybe 3 or 4 issues back? you can search the CVOA Magazine archive to find the Tech Tip. There were 4 different gear ratios for the Saginaw 4 speeds from GM.
