rated current of EACH fuel pumps
issues sorta in a nut shell
10 amp fuse would blow after the car started to crank over
isolated hp pump fuse didn t blow
removed pump cleaned connections found wire from rear quarter pinched in 2 spots replaced wire, ran pump on bench quiet
reinstalled pump hot wire to battery with 5 amp fuse no problem
Put back to original blows 10amp now as soon as turned on
Split power fused each pump at 5 amps
now 5 blows for tank pump which was good before at 10 when hp pump was disconnected
the question
is if tank pump is restricted or is 5 amp for tank pump not big enough fuel was flowing at a good rate when disconnecting hp pump
of course tank is almost full and i was hoping to avoid removing it coal stove is close to back of car and it is a little to cold yet to let it go out.
also any thought on doing the pump into ferrio pump if need to at least I am almost bald so I can not pull any more hair out
