Cosworth Gold paint formula
I am still trying to find the mixing formula for the gold wheel paint. My local paint shops can not find the formula. I have found the wheel color code in the Dupont book but nothing comes up when they try to get the formula for the code. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello All,
Looking to redo my wheels and came across this old thread. Not sure if I want to tackle it myself or have it professionally done. I would use the place in Ohio as I have heard good things but I don't want my car on jack stands (which I don't have) and the shipping would make it pretty expensive along with the cost itself. I have found a few local people but they are not quite as reasonable (about the same as Ohio with shipping) and they have no experience with Cosworth rims. They also keep asking me for a paint code or color. So I did some checking and here is what I found today.
- The Original DDL 82347 does not come up on anyone's computer
- Du Pont 5450L only one place found something but it was listed as Yellow and Brown (I guess that makes Gold)
- PPG DBC 24571 does come up on the computers that I checked but as a Toyota exterior gold paint from 1978 to 1984.
So my question to you all is 2 fold.
1) I am thinking the DBC 24571 would be close as I remember that gold on old Toyotas. If not do you have any other paint codes or suggestions that may work?
2) Should I attempt this myself or have it done? My rims are in pretty good shape just faded and dull. Maybe a good clean and a clear coat???
Any help and or suggestions that you can give me would be apricated.
