restoring #2699; I have the original alternator and starter; want to start fresh, and not play with originals if they are sketchy. I know there are companies out there that can rebuild, rewind original units if necessary: but I wonder if there are new parts available to purchase.

Also had to cut the alternator mounting bolt, is that length generally available? What have people done; thoughts, recommendations?
