I have a cam carrier and head that were rebuilt in the 80's but never put in a car. They sat on a shelf for 30 years and collected a ton of dust. I've cleaned them and they look really nice. Head still has purple on it from doing valves and such. Cam carrier has assembly paste still on it. My question is the cams don't move. Should they spin easily? Not at all? Very hard to move? I've sprayed them with Kroil and it has done nothing to free them up. So that is the question, do they move freely? They also have the gears on them but that hasn't made it any easier to get them to turn.
