Bought by Dave Alwine of Edwardsburg, MI off eBay. He has already (March 2008) pulled the engine,
and is planning to turbocharge and Megasquirt it. He says that the paint is in bad shape, and that he
does not believe that the car only had 34k on it—“no way”. He says the lister originally said 74k and
changed it. Also, he says he owned #1216, #1412, and #2160 (he thinks that is the number). He is on a
top fuel bike team and has “connections” to have pistons made—MTC in Cocoa FL. He says the name on
the title was Teen D. Robertson, and it was dated 10/3/1977, and the dealer was Shephard’s Chevrolet
in N. Manchester IN. He says that written on the window sticker is Terry Smith, Apr 5, 1977, for
whatever that is worth.

I just returned from Oro Valley (Tucson). The car in question is a 1976 ‐ dash # 2768 w/28429 miles. It is
Black w/white interior. It has the CVOA sticker in the left ¼ window. He has several books that go with it;
along with some early CVOA magazines. He believes the previous owner was the original owner.
Although it has Weber carbs, the injection system is there. The car has not been driven since 1987. By
the looks of it; it will need a complete restoration. The body is in very good condition but the finish is
bad and will need to be striped. The interior is completely gone and would need replacement. When I
brushed the pillar trim with my hand it fell apart. All plastic interior is trash. The outside trim is in good
condition and at best would need to be polished (no pits). It also has an after market AC system. He has
all the original wheels and the center caps look good also. I don’t think I would be interested in redoing
the car as I am deep into mine. The only interest I would have is to dismantle it for parts. He wants $500
for all of it. Had I seen it before I started working on my car, I would have preferred using mine for parts
and restoring this one (too late). Allan Healey

Message received by the WebCrew on 9/15.2007: “I went to a party today at someone's home I'd never
been to before and discovered an intact Cosworth Vega sitting in the backyard. The owners of the home
said it "came with the property" and want to get rid of it. Do you think anyone in this group would be
interested in it? It would be a shame to see it continue to sit there. The dash said #2469 (I think)."

I've inherited # 2768 and just don't have the time to restore. I got it from the original owner and he said
he parked it in 1986 and it hasn't run since. It has been in AZ. and has no rust; some pack rat nests but
can be cleaned up and is complete. I have manuals, some decals in original boxes; spare block and head
(in pieces) electronics and a box of goodies. Have steel and aluminum wheels. Would like $1000 and you
haul. In Tucson, AZ. If anyone is interested, you can contact me here or at drums11@comcast.net

This “hugger” orange Cosworth appeared on eBay for sale in late October of 2006. The ad read: “All
original Cosworth Vega. It needs a coil spring on pass side front, cam shaft gaskets, and a sway bar
mount on the sub frame needs to be re‐welded. Car #2775’s interior is in good condition and the clock is
the only thing that is not working.” The mileage is listed as 56,000, and there is no VIN listed. The
wheels and bumpers are painted orange, the trim is blacked out, and the car sports a spoiler. The
engine has the pulse air tubes. The car is located in Colchester, VT. According to an email from the
owner, “Mark, the VIN # for Cosworth #2775 is 1V7706U194606. To the best of my info I’m the 4th
owner. The car is from South Carolina to the best of my info. You can e‐mail me at gucgpony@aol.com. I
