Maybe it’s not that great of a deal. Unfortunately down here in the south we have to deal with rust
from the humidity, and to find a CV or any Vega for that matter on a car lot or privately is rare. Most of
the small cars of that era were trashed in short track races! Anyway at least its not hiding from those
who may be interested any more.

I bet it needs a lot more than a "tune‐up". Caveat Emptor! I think those interested in CVs should shop
amongst owners. When a car is 25 years old, its ownership history is important. You can usually
determine a lot about the car from talking to past owners. There are usually at least a dozen or two CVs
listed for sale in CV magazine. A CV on a used car lot is a recipe for disaster IMO. "Twenty‐four hundred
and it needs a tune‐up." Yeah, right! I'm sure his diagnosis of the "fuel injection acting up" comes from
years of CV experience. Duke

Yahoo post. I found a 1976 Cosworth Vega for sale today. I believe it was # 3022. 4‐speed with aftermarket air
conditioning (not working) Body is in excellent shape with an indicated 62,xxx miles. Only rust I saw was
the battery tray and a few bubbles on passenger door. Interior is full of plastic rot and seats need
recovered. Doors do not sag when opened. I did not crawl under the car or drive it. It runs but needs a
tune‐up as the Fuel Injection is acting up according to the dealer. It’s a muddy red/burgundy color.
Asking price "I need 2400 out of it (2544 with tax.)" Located in Statesboro, Georgia near Savannah at
Williams Retail Used Cars 912/764‐4224, ask for Bruce Williams. CAR IS NOT MINE AND I WILL NOT
PROFIT FROM ITS SALE. I WOULD BUY IT IF I HAD THE CASH! PLEASE DON'T EMAIL ME ABOUT THE CAR ‐

After posting #3024 on E-bay and having some time to groom her I've fallen madly in love with her again. In the
last 8 days she got a new muffler, horn fixed, and the clock has been running for 3 days now. I do feel I made a big
mistake with the Hutton rebuild putting carbs on, and I do not have any of the FI to put it back in, as I traded with
Hutton to lower costs...duh. Anyway, it drives great. Let's be real about this too, you guys are not going to meet the
reserve after what the Blue CV sold for. I want to say Thanks to those who sent e-mails that convinced me to keep
her. Now if I can just find some money for the paint job and stripe kit. Vega25us

that I will take a major loss on it. I must make room in my new house. You remember the one I'm talking

pictures and fax the spec sheet on the rebuild. Call or e‐mail. jbschandevel@m... or 828‐697‐8231

Offered for sale on eBay in November of 2002. 1976 Cosworth Vega, #3024. Orange with NEW black
interior. Four speed, NEW weather seals, NEW carpet, TWO year old Hutton rebuilt engine with COLD
A/C added. Blows hard and is cold. Original miles on car. I have owned this car for almost 9 years.
Repainted wheels, NEW seat belts with re‐chromed buckles. Weber side draft carbs. True Cosworth
lovers don't hate me for that. Bill Hutton talked me into it. NEW muffler and shocks, tires are at least 7
years old with only about 5K miles on them. Recently rotated for the first time and super balanced, no
shaking at any speed. Car had been recently painted when I bought it about 9 years ago. No stripe kit
and surface rust in the normal Vega places. Very small amounts; driver side bottom of half glass, around
left taillight, front edge of hood. These areas have been treated. The interior is perfect. Went from
White to all Black, with the A/C black is not a problem. The car has NEVER been stored outside, has a
light cover and garage kept. With having two small children, have come small scratches from bicycles
and such. Will help deliver up to a reasonable distance. I am in Western North Carolina. Off line offers
will be accepted. VIN: 1V7706U214902. It has 68,722 miles. -- It didn’t sell. Reserve not met.
