running, engine all original, car all original, needs restoring. Interior is great. Black vinyl. Repair bottom
of driver's seat and you're done with the interior. Repaint outside, Cosworth decal kit is 209.00, spend
very little and you've got a car worth holding onto. I am selling at no reserve cause I need the room.

serious seller so you be a serious buyer." The VIN is 1V77E5U247421, and it has 51,373 miles. The car is

Listed on eBay in March of 2004. “1975 VegaCosworth Vega #0498. This car looks ugly on the outside
but all it needs is a little TLC and Paint and a battery fuel bowls are stopped up. New seat covers on
front seats. I replaced the dash several years ago and it has been in the garage for the last 20 years very
low miles. OD says 24k but I think it has 50k. Motor has been sleeved less than 500 miles on rebuilt
engine Has dual Webers from Hutton Engineering, Hurst shifter, newcarpet,Goodyear Gatorbacks with
less than 500 miles, have a stripe kit for this (also included) and all the EFI parts and some miscellaneous
parts, couple of spare alternators, starter, block and anything else Cosworth Vega I can find. The price is
firm‐‐I don't care if I sell it or not, but I could use the room or trade for a good Bridgeport mill.
NoShipping. What you see is what you get.” This car is located in Norman, OK, and from the pictures
looks in very poor shape. The car has mostly been sanded down to the gray primer and further and is in
bad shape; it is covered in dust inside and out. The starting bid of $2995 is far in excess of its apparent
value. Ed.

I kept it in Florida and it was our second car until around 1985. I sold it around then to a young man who said he
was going to take it to Ohio. I loved driving the car as it was fast and handled real well. I do remember having
trouble with the fuel injection. Chevrolet again, would not touch it. A local Mercedes mechanic took a look at it and
ended up replacing a couple of Chevy parts with Bosch parts. I remember he said that they were quite compatible.
It ran great after that. Both my brother and I always regretted the sale, I think the young man I sold it to mentioned bringing it to Ohio but that would be a long shot. I can't remember the mileage it had on it when I sold it, but it did have some very minor rust. Overall I'd say it was in good shape back then. Sorry but I don't have any of the old info as to the
VIN # etc. #0500 is on my list of cars that I've owned and regret that I've sold.

A former owner of this car, Ted, wrote asking if we knew of its whereabouts. Chris replied that it is
owned by a current member in Ohio, Randy Ball, of Bolivar. Ted recalled this about the car: Number
500 was purchased by my brother in the early 80's while he was stationed in North Dakota with the Air
Force. Eventually he brought it back to Long Island. The owner prior to my brother had removed the
catalytic converter and the valves were eventually damaged w/unleaded gas. Chevrolet would not
touch it. We were eventually successful in getting it repaired on Long Island. I drove it from New York
to Florida where I lived, when my brother was transferred to Alaska.

According to an August 2010 post, “I have #508 a 1975 Cosworth Vega. I've owned it since the mid 80s;
it hasn’t run since the late 80s. I have had it in storage, mostly covered. It's in restorable condition and
all there. I keep it hoping my boys would take interest but have not. I'd like to sell it to someone who has
a interest in it.I live in Kalama, WA, near Portland, OR. #508 has 46,000 miles on it. No modifications. It
has some rust on the top, but not bad.. The motor is all there, but the spark plugs have been out for
some time. It needs work. Chuck Bailey”

According to a Region XIII classified in December of 1985, “Cosworth Vega parts car, no motor, body in
good shape. Best offer. 303 666‐4113.” This is the same phone number as the owner of #0998, GOLD
RUSH, and so can reasonably be presumed RIP.

In March of 2009, an eBay seller, Mark Hines, asked for any info on a Cosworth Vega motor that he was
considering buying. He gave the partial VIN from the block as U213940. He later confirmed that the
build stamping was T0508ZCA. He reported that his information was that the car had been in a fire.
