oil leak
Hello out there Happy Holidays .I have replaced the cam carrier gasket, it is lined up with oil passage , no silicone on gasket . This is the second time I've replaced it,The first time when I built the motor. I've been blessed with an oil leak. The same place as before the pass. front cam carrier where oil passage is .I was very careful to line it up. My question is, There are two bolts that are longr than the rest , Could someone tell me the placement of thoes bolts . I maybe have them in the wrong location.I tourqed them to 65 in lbs . They are in the front two holes of cam carrier. thanks for all the help. Tom P.S. it runs great

When I rebuilt my engine I used a preoiler before starting it to check for leaks .I found the cam shaft seals leaking but that was firewall side of engine..good thing about this is you can pump little by littke without engine running and look for small leaks..
I also discovered by mistake that when I remove my oil fill cap it stopped leaking near the rear main seal.. so I changed to a vented oil fill..
It's really frustrating when you spend so much time and money rebuilding them it leaks..
