Everyone, just joined the club. The reason I joined is; I have inherited two Cosworths and need to do something with them. Keeping them is not an option so moving forward, how is the best way to give these a good home? One is a shell essentially, it's rotted out from the bottom up but still has its engine, drivetrain and wheels. It's a '76, number #2938. It can work as a parts car for certain items I'm sure. It was bought on the cheap specifically for that purpose... a parts car. And, surprisingly it's a roller, even left outside the tires have air. Now... the second one I drove as a teenager in 78-79. It's near and dear to my heart. It's #3315 and is a one owner car with approx. 42K miles. It has been garaged since 1983. It's last registration was in the early 2000's

1976 Chevy Vega Cosworth. This is a numbered car and is very collectible. It has a 4 speed on the floor
and the first US made factory electronic fuel injection. The engine is a 122 c.i., 2.0L, 16‐valve aluminum
head with factory installed header. Complete with dual exhaust. Everything is original except the wheels.
They have been redone by Keystone Auto. There are rust spots that have been treated with POR‐15 &
sanded. Very fair condition overall. This car has a clean title. It will make someone a great car when it is
done. The injection needs to be redone. The car will not run. The engine will spin, just no fuel. We
intended to restore this car. Also included are some extra parts and some tune up items.” Car has
65,180 miles, and the VIN is 1V77O6U222771. White with a black interior, and AC. Lovettsville, VA.
Also has a fugly wing on the hatch. According to eBay, sold for $3500. See Cosworth Vega Magazine‐71,
Bethesda, MD.

Hello Group. My name is Perry from NY and I just purchased a 1976 CV #3329 from a guy in
Southampton, NY. The car has never been registered and has 8,327 original miles. The exterior is black
with tan saddle interior. VIN #1V77O6U 223747. All I know so far is that the transmission is a 5 speed.
The car starts up immediately and drives great. Exterior needs just a fresh coat of paint. Interior is
completely intact and in good shape except for a little fade and the driver’s side carpet is torn. The
wheels are in need of refurbishing and some knucklepuck put whitewall tires on it. I would like some
help finding a mechanic in the NY area with experience in the CV and a body/restoration shop as well.
Also if anyone knows where I can get a center cap and a good wheel refurbisher in the NY area it will be
greatly appreciated. I drove one of these in high school and this one is like an old friend.

Posted on Barn Finds: For two model years, Chevrolet teamed up with Cosworth to create a limited-production, performance-oriented variant of its Vega compact car. This 1976 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega that Barn Finds reader Russell G. found here on Craigslist is the 3330th out of 3508 manufactured examples, and it is also a low-mile specimen. This Cosworth Vega is available in Southampton, Pennsylvania with a clean title. The seller notes that the vehicle is in mostly original condition, though items such as the windshield and cowl received a replacement at one point. The exterior of the vehicle features untouched original paint with patina in various areas. However, there are a variety of spare body parts included with the vehicle’s sale, such as an extra hood, front and rear bumpers, front grille, front fenders, a hatchback lid, and even more. Inside the cabin, the tan interior theme provides a nice contrast to the dark green exterior color. The interior is well preserved, with no rips or tears present in the seats, and the carpet also appears to be mostly clean. Under the hood, you’ll find a 2.0-liter twin-cam 4-cylinder engine, which has only traveled 27,000 miles. The engine pairs to a 4-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels, and while the engine does run rich at the moment, the seller notes that this Cosworth Vega starts, runs, drives and shifts without issue. The seller is asking $3,995 or best offer for this compact sports coupe. Could you see yourself fixing up this limited-production Vega?
