Paid $7,000 to Lloyd Blocker and had it transported to Ohio.
He swore the paint was original. He polished it with 1000, 2000, 3000 grit sand paper to make it shine. He removed the catalytic converter and the pulse air tubes. Changed the pulley's on the cams and replaced the timing belt. He had Wheel Medic restore the rims. And he replaced the left rear quarter window bright trim.
Ed is a retired cop who made a connection with the next owner who was a cop also.

This car appeared for sale on eBay in July of 2009. It is located in McHenry, IL. The ad reads:
“Production #1277. You know how rare this classic is. It ran fine when it ran. It's sat in the driveway for
about ten years & unfortunately, no one has the room for it anymore. It needs a new gas line. All the
tires are flat, so you're going to need to trailer it on out. You know want to restore this bad boy! The
VIN is 1V77E6U250423. Seller claims the car has 7627 miles, and that it was “running strong before the
gas tank was removed.”

This car was originally sold out of Greenway Chevrolet, Bowling Green, KY in Summer/Fall 1975. The list price was $6,294.65 as shown on the window sticker that has followed the car all these years. Greenway Chevrolet no longer exists in Bowling Green, replaced by Campbell Chevrolet. However, there is a Greenway Automotive Group that sells cars throughout the Southeast.

My first Cosworth Vega. I found it in some bushes only two miles from my house. The chassis was solid
rust but the drive train had only 19,000 miles on it. The car was originally equipped with a 4‐speed and
3.73:1 posi. During the rebuild, I converted it to a five speed Borg Warner that was an option in the
1976 models. It has an “ultra rare Yenko rear spoiler that I got from a woman my brother met at an all‐
night diner.”
The car has a Mallory Unilite Distributor with a Hifire IV control module and coil. This unit seems to be
good to over 8,000 RPM! I have recently sold my Weber Carbs and returned to fuel injection. I hope
that I will gain some horsepower and rpm, but I know that I have lost some bottom end torque. Later
this year I will add an Electromotive TEC‐II distributorless ignition and fuel injection computer and likely
go with TWM Induction Weber style throttle bodies. Factory stainless steel header 2.5" exhaust with 40
series Flowmaster Bosch Platinum +4. EST HP: 180
Transmission:Borg Warner T‐50, Borg & Beck clutch, Custom short shifter, Momo shift knob. Rear
End:Stock 10 bolt 3.73 posi. Chassis: Energy suspension bushings, adjustable tubular Panhard bar,
adjustable tubular torque arm, Carerra adjustable shocks, V‐8 Monza springs, Autopower roll cage.
Interior:Corbeau Forza seats, Autometer Phantom gauges, Momo pedals and steering wheel.
Little by little... I posted some new pictures of my progress on #1280. Got the new seats, gauges,
steering wheel, and Autopower roll bar installed. Close to being done for the upcoming race season in
late February. Gonna take it down to have the Webers fine tuned later this month by someone that
actually knows what they are doing! Now if I could just find a cheap set of fifteen inch wheels for my
race tires. Oh well, Centerline is still in business. Britt
Updated the pictures of 75‐#1280, my ITA project. I just need to finish the cage, install the Accusump
and the fire system, and I'll be off and running. Britt

This 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega is #1,282 of approximately 3,500 examples built during a two-year production run and was originally delivered to Thorobred Chevrolet of Wichita, Kansas. The car was acquired new by former Corvette race car driver Cliff Gottlob and reportedly remained in his Kansas shop for approximately four decades before being acquired by the current owner around four years ago. It is finished in black with gold pinstriping over black vinyl and is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four with electronic fuel injection paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. Equipment includes power-assisted front disc brakes, gold-finished 13″ wheels, an AM/FM radio, and swing-out rear side windows. This Cosworth Vega is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a build sheet, original purchase documents, and a clean Oklahoma title in the name of the owner’s trust.
